5 DAILY PRACTICES TO INCREASE YOUR WILLPOWER AND ACHIEVE YOUR LIFE GOALS!

 In Lifestyle, Mindset, Tapping, Visualisation

Have you ever suffered from procrastination, laziness or the inability to stick at something and see it through? I think at some point we can all put our hand up to this.

Developing more of your willpower is one of the greatest things you can do to increase your happiness and achieve the experiences you wish to have in life.

What is willpower?

Life uses a quality known as will. It is the force that persists continually, in an unbroken way, to create whatever it wants.

It never gives up. Life does not change its mind – when it starts to grow a coconut tree, it doesn’t suddenly change into a mango or an apple tree.

We as humans call this expression of force, will power – the ability to concentrate and persist through all adversities until what we are aiming for comes into fruition.

Here are 5 daily practices you can do to increase your willpower and create the things that you want.

1. CONTROL YOUR THOUGHTS.

Developing will power means to conquer sabotaging and diverting thoughts which drag you away from holding a desired thought in your mind.

When your thoughts are scattered and inconsistent, they lead you away from your goal. If life was to bring you everything you thought about, your life would be extremely messy, jumping from one experience to the next within seconds.

Instead, life brings you your most dominant thoughts, those that are held within your mind consistently. Therefore, the more you can direct and control your thoughts to that it is you most desire, the faster it will manifest and the stronger your will power will become.

2. BECOME SUPER AWARE.

The biggest block to developing will power and therefore strength of mind, is remaining in an automatic and trance like state.

Most people go about their day completely on automatic – wake in the morning, pop on their clothes, drive the same way to work and respond emotionally to the same habitual way of thinking.

You must start to change it up – try driving a different way to work and take your attention away from the thoughts that start to distract you, for e.g – ‘I’ll do it after I get a drink’ or ‘I’ll just call this person first’.  This is your mind seeking an excuse and distracting you.

You have to turn your attention away from these little yet powerful voices and concentrate on the goal you want. This will make you very strong and help you to build an extremely strong mind.

3. THINK OF SOMETHING AND MAKE IT HAPPEN – DON’T QUIT!

A great way to develop your willpower is to make something happen and bring a desired experience into your life.

Go for something that will stretch you in a small way and achieve it. Then go for larger and larger things.

This process does not involve grit, hard work, hurriedness or stress – which can all result in resentful behaviour and disease. Willpower is nothing to do with being driven. It is to do with a continual balance and control of your thoughts.

4. BUILD YOUR WILLPOWER MUSCLE.

Like everything, will power can only be developed and made stronger by using it.

Regular practice of increasing your will power is vital. Learn to say NO to the babbling’s of your mind that wish to keep you small, distracted and insignificant. The ability to say NO to negative or distracting thoughts is the key!

Increasing your willpower is all about pushing though the resistance and discomfort that you feel and being the director of your thoughts and actions under all circumstances.

5. MAKE YOUR MIND YOUR SERVANT.

If you do not control your mind, it most certainly will control you. It is important to remain clear and focused. Turn all distractions off and turn your attention away from distracting voices in your head.

Just like when you are driving a car, it is you that steers it in the direction that you want it to go. You need to do the same with your mind. Demand your mind and body to remain fully conscious and aware under all circumstances.

Refuse to fall victim to negative and unproductive thoughts – when you demand and commit to a better way of thinking, life responds and releases the necessary energy to propel you along in miraculous ways.

Your mind truly does have incredible power over your life, if you do the right practices you can enjoy living life to the full, be creative, confident, wealthy, free and live a life filled with love!!

Have an amazing day!!
